Details On Your Performance

The duration of the performance is flexible and up to the group, However we typically find that 40 to 45 minutes is the most suitable timeframe. You have the option to perform either once or a couple of times throughout the cruise duration.

Performing on sea days is ideal, as all passengers are on board, increasing the likelihood of a larger audience. Feel free to request your performance dates and times for the performance, and we will confirm once the ship has approved.

There are no concerns regarding rehearsal time. Simply provide me with the duration you need and specify the ideal dates and times for these rehearsals and MSC will do their best to accommodate. MSC Cruises offers an event coordinator and an AV technician for your performance.

Performance Preparations

We will submit all details to the ship, including preference for dates, times of performances, and rehearsal needs. About eight weeks before the sailing date, the ship will then confirm the schedule for the performances and rehearsals as this is always worked around the onboard entertainment programme.

When your group is booked, we can endeavour to organise a ship visit for you as the dance teacher. This will give you the opportunity to inspect the stage, among other things. In the meantime, we can furnish you with details such as stage dimensions.

The Dance Group Booking

We highly recommend that dancers invite their family and friends to join them, enhancing the cruise experience and expanding the audience for the performances. Additionally, we can enquire about arranging a drinks reception on the first evening you all arrive on board, if feasible.

We would require an estimate of the cabins you anticipate needing: typically, a minimum group requires 17 cabins. We will then request a larger number of cabins, distributed according to the ships configuration. This includes a mix of interior, ocean view and balcony cabins. We would also like to know the estimated number of students participating in the dance group performance.

Further details such as, is a drinks package necessary for the entire group. All group passengers must have the same option. Keep in mind that all meals are already included on MSC Cruise Ships.

We'll request rates, and if you decide not to take the allocated number of cabins, you can simply return them with no associated fee.

Choosing the Sailing...

MSC Cruises permits only one dance school to perform on each sailing. You have the option to consider sailings from Southampton or locations requiring a flight, and arrangements for the entire process can be coordinated through Dance at Sea.

Various cruise durations are available for consideration, ranging from two nights to one week or even two weeks, arrangements can be made accordingly. To explore potential sailings, check here.
